Worship Services

Sunday worship service

Worship starts at 11:00 am and ends at noon.  Our worship service currently leans toward traditional, though not "High Church" (also see "Low church" defined ).  We have a blend of music styles and an order of worship that is not rigid.

Also, our Worship Work Area prepares special altars for selected services and special occasions.

Communion

We hold The Sacrament of Communion once per month.  The order of worship for that service is slightly different.  Communion is served at the altar rail for those that can come or in the pews for those who cannot. Communion itself usually uses bread and grape juice that is served individually.

We normally hold Communion by intinction (dipping bread into a goblet of grape juice).

Our communion is open to all Christians

Nursery

We have skilled and loving adults prepared to care for your children through age 2. The nursery is located in "The Gathering Place", located adjacent to the sanctuary. An usher can escort you and your child to the nursery.

Children’s Worship Bags

Activity bags for children are available in the church entry area (narthex). These bags should help your child in their worship experience.

Assisted Listening Devices for the hearing impaired and large-type editions of the United Methodist Hymnal are available. Just ask an usher for help getting these items.

Advent - Hanging of the greens

To "kick off" Advent, we may have an afternoon of family Advent craft creation followed by a soup and sandwich supper. Check our calendar when Advent is near.

We always hold a special "Deck the Sanctuary" Saturday just before the first Sunday in Advent.

New Year's Eve (Watch Night) Communion

We sometimes have a drop-in communion on New Year's Eve. Check our calendar.

Lent through Easter

Check our calendar for details on the events below.  We also have Lenten "Lunch Lift" devotions during Holy Week.  Our calendar will have the Lunch Lift times and details.
