Our Pastor
Reverend David Allen Grady became our latest pastor on June 21, 2007.
Dave came to us from Saint Luke UMC in Mableton, Georgia. He and his wife Susan are a clergy couple -- both are United Methdist pastors. So we don't get to see as much of Susan as we'd like, but on those occasions we do, it's a treat.
Dave says, "I really must confess that I'm that Alabama fan. While I don't think I would ever do anything like leave Susan (my wife and the best thing that ever happened to me) when UGA beats Alabama too many times, I do bleed Crimson."
"What do I love to do? Oh, I have two big passions: movies and travel. Are the two related? Who knows. Well, actually, there's three -- a good latte."
So we created a Google map of the coffee shops nearest to the church.
Interesting factoids
- Dave lived and pastored a Methodist church in England for a year.
- "David" is not really his first name, though he goes by "Dave".
- Dave has a blog, "Open Mind Dave".
